Rosie's Hairy Gang

The Talented Dogs

Acknowledgments & Thanks

I would like to say thank-you to the many people who have had a huge influence on me and my dogs.

  • Phyllis and Norman Harrington-Gill who owned the kennels where I got my first Job. It was through them that I learned so much about dogs and it was there I also learned to groom and clip dogs.
  • Shirley Ginger who I met at the kennels and who became a good friend and still is
  • Eric Ervin and a lady called Ann O’shea from Sunbury and Hanworth Obedience club back in 1970 .( where I am still a member) Eric was very much an old fashioned Obedience instructor but it was there as a child that I got my first taste and love  of competitive Obedience
  • Lu and Stuart Carter from whom I got Disney and from him my love affair with the Collie X Poodles. They also taught me Agility at Scramles with Disney and with their training helped me to get him to Senior.
  • Chris Jackson who I thank for letting me have Woody
  • Jo Sermon who guided me through the first couple of years of agility back in 1992 with Ellie my first Standard Poodle .She introduced me to Tony Veal who first trained me at Agility at Biggin Hill, and there I was ,a raw Elementary handler put into a class with some of the top senior and advanced handlers-who were so encouraging and from whom I learned an enormous amount.
  • Eleanor and Ian Balchin at Pachesham Agility club in Leatherhead where I am training at present.
  • Margaret Schofield and everyone at Surrey dog training Club
  • Jane Hill one of my very best friends—she has been so very supportive over the years and accompanied me on many a lovely long dog walk with all her pack.
  • Andrea—My loyal friend and agility camping buddy
  • Last, but definitely not least Janet Bates-who not only is good friend but has been my trainer for Obedience for the last 2-3 years. Janet has helped and encouraged me and given me the confidence I now have. She has encouraged me to carry on when things have got me down and I’ve been ready to give up and throw the towel in.

I would also like to add a special Thanks to my Hubby Steve without whom none of this would have been possible. He let me have the dogs in the first place and has put up with me being out most evenings training and away at the weekends competing especially during the summer months.
